Lyndon in London, Scramble winner seeks Premier Championship

Demand Lucha will be a featured performer at this years TACOFEST in London, Ontario on Saturday, August 25th. 6 matches are on the bill and will be spread throughout the day. Performers will include Demand mainstays, Freddie Mercurio and Carter Mason among others. The edited product will be exclusive to LuchaNetwork.com, the second such event the company has made site exclusive.

The first was “A Night at The Opera” in Toronto which saw “Wild Child” Jody Threat take on “Selfie Queen” Jesse Mack as well as action from Channing Decker, Carter Mason and the Mighty SERAPHIS. The rematch between Threat & Mack has been set for London and is going to make it even hotter than I’m sure the August afternoon is slated to be.

Demand Lucha announced that a former Royal Canadian Tag Team Champion would receive a Premier Title shot at TacoFest and proceeded to create a twitter poll asking fans who they thought it should be. Although Evil Uno was voted up, Director of Demand Joel Gertner made the call that it would be Louis Lyndon, winner of the 2nd of his precious Chaos Scramble’s, that would be getting the nod. Lyndon was dominant in that particular match and got a rather quick tap out from the Amazing Rory Gulak.

Lyndon is more than worthy of the shot and knows Ophidian well, having teamed with him and Glacier at Lucha De Los Muertos 2 and having encounters with him in Philly at Chikara. If Lyndon walks out of London as the NEW Premier Champion, he will be added to the match between Ophidian and Shane Strickland scheduled for the next night in Toronto at SWERVE. Get your tickets for both events HERE

Whether both Lyndon and Ophidian or just the latter, Strickland is probably not too worried. The International King of Swerve walks into Lee’s Palace as the brand new Evolve Champion, having just defeated Matt Riddle at Evolve109, and as the 2-time Defy Champion, having defeated Austin Aries, who himself has been practically invincible as of late. A Huge Main Event set for SWERVE on Sunday, August 26th at Toronto’s Lee’s Palace.
