PCO Rocks TO – Glamour X Menace NOW AVAILABLE

Exactly one month ago, Demand Lucha presented the SuperShow, Glamour X Menace, the biggest show of the year for Canada’s only Authentic Lucha Libre Super Party. An overwhelming success, with tons of incredible matches, the event is now available on the Lucha Network and rapidly broke the record for the most views in under 48 hours. After a Broadcast Premiere on Powerbomb.tv last Sunday morning, it is also available on that service as well.

The live event started off with a hype up match showcasing the newly formed tag team “Alternative Therapy” taking on “Cute But Deadly”. As you can imagine, hilarity ensued, including shenanigans involving cocaine, marijuana, sexually inappropriate situations and of course… a man dressed up as a penis. We also had our standard hardcore fair with `White Trash`Matt Cash in the house, as well as a Chikara Pro Trios match. The Canadian Hercules, Ty Colton, was also lumbered back into the company taking on the Demand Lucha favourite, Freddie Mercurio. Before the contest, Colton got into some heated words with Director of Demand and current matchmaker, ECW Alumni Joel Gertner over not being featured more prominently. Not a wise move some would say, especially considering the quick wit of the Quintessential Studmuffin.

PCO enters at Demand Lucha! to take on Channing Decker

Boston Crab TacksNext up was the match everybody was waiting for… Canadian Wrestling Legend and a modern-day phoenix rising from the flames, PCO – Pierre Carl Ouellet, took on one half of the current Royal Canadian Tag Team Champions, Channing Decker. This outing certainly did not disappoint. The two fought all over Lee’s Palace in one of the most hardcore matches in company history. Decker’s body was slammed down to the concrete floor outside the ring many many times. The match was taxing for PCO as well, as Decker displayed ferociousness and toughness he has never graced us with before. Tacks, Staples Guns, Tables, Slabs of Rock, Hammers and more… the match was completely off the hook and worth the $2 a month to see it at LuchaNetwork.com. Use code:LUCHA for the discounted rate.

PCO’s resurgence on the scene is nothing short of a miracle and the “Francophone Frankenstein” has been impressing all over, all year, and has just been announced for this year’s BOLA tournament at PWG. But… not to be topped by the hardcore craziness of PCO & Decker, the current Lucha Premier Champion, Ophidian, came out with guns blazing. He informed the crowd that Seraphis and Serpentico were on sojourn, and announced Gisele Shaw and Holden Albright as his partners for the evening as they took on Team Darkside of Evil Uno, Holidead and Darby Allin.

This match needed to follow one of the craziest matches Lee’s Palace had ever seen and it certainly kept up the pace. Darby Allin displayed inhuman speed and a uniquely personal lucha technique that had the champ’s team reeling. Allin even busted out a “Coffin Drop” trust fall that ranks high on the list of most dangerous things I’ve ever seen pulled off in the tiny Toronto venue. Even though the Serpent Society came out on top, people are now calling for a one-on-one match between Darby Allin and Ophidian and I for one am in full support of the idea.

The sleeper match of the night was up next when Jody Threat took on “Black Lavender” Lionel Knight in a 20-minute throw down that had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Knight had taken advantage of Threat in the first ever Lucha Chaos Scramble match and Threat was looking for revenge. See whether she got it in the video below.

Speaking of the Chaos Scramble, the fans were fired up before our main event, the third Lucha Chaos Scramble. The evening ended with Teddy Hart, Carter Mason, Josh Alexander, Trent Gibson & PJ Black all in the ring at the same time. The 5 men wowed the wild crowd with a great showing. The entire super show is now available at LuchaNetwork.com and Powerbomb.tv is offering 20 days free with the code: LuchaTO
