Well, Well, Welcome!

Every wrestling promotion has a boss. Some promotions out there have authority figures, people that aren’t owners but are given the reigns. Sheriffs if you will. Some have a few too many! Others too few…. and some have one guy who’s running the whole show. It’s his promotion and dammit, he makes the calls. Some people take it casually,  yet others have an official board of directors, tax write-offs, corporate investments and the whole nine yards.

Demand Lucha! falls somewhere in the middle, although a very grassroots company, it does run off of a de facto board of directors. Like a lot of indie brands, most of these people are not in the spotlight. Very rarely are company announcements made by talking heads and if you were to ask the average fan who’s running the show, they probably wouldn’t even know. The only “personalities” the company have are commentators Hutch Henries and Jay Moore, but even they have been low-key as public faces for the Demand! brand. We found out recently that Henries has been running the company as the Director of Demand (only just making his first talking head announcement here) but when you’re going to jump in… you might as well jump in head-first!!

For a company that’s never really had a public figurehead, they are about to change that … and change that rather aggressively. Extremely, if you would. The brand new Director of Demand! as announced by Henries is none other than ECW original… JOEL “even though he’s now running Demand!, still has time to make the ladies cum their pants” GERTNER. If you found that in any way crude, then grab your socks and hose and pull folks, you’re in for a bumpy ride.

Mr Gertner’s crude catalogue of cacophony and catcalls, whether blistering one-liners or his classic full-length muff mangling monologues are about to become commonplace at Demand Lucha! The Quintessential Stud-Muffin, without a doubt, will be the most twistedly depraved low life they’ve ever had in a position of power at the company. Widely known throughout the entire breadth of the wrestling industry as one of the biggest, baddest, talkers to ever blow a little piggies house down, Gertner will be making his first appearance at the March 25th Luchapalooza show at Lee’s Palace in Toronto, and as Hutch Henries says in the video below, we all better be prepared as Joel Gertner is now Da Man… at Demand!
