VCWrestling.net has obtained this exclusive footage from the producers of Victory Wrestling Showcase which clearly shows Nick Watts stealing the Openweight Championship belt.
The location was Lee’s Palace, the crime was apparent and obvious. Nick Watts has made no bones about it, he believes he is the rightful owner of the title, as the video clearly shows. Watts feels he was cheated out of his last victory by a referee and a disqualification call. The two men have made statement videos, which we will make available here to you soon, where they call each other out. The end result is… that the match is made. Ladder match for the title and it’s been made for VCW’s Thursday night event on October 15 taking place at The Reaper’s Mansion in Ajax, Ontario. This is a FREE to the public event, so there’s no excuse not to be there for what is sure to be a dangerous and bloody matchup.
This may workout for the REAL champ as Bishop has extensive experience in ladder matches but Watts has virtually none. Scouring the Internet, VCWrestling.net has found nothing, but friends and former opponents divulge that Watts has never competed under ladder match rules during his “in-ring” career. We say “in-ring” becasue Watts was known for his early days as a backyard hardcore wrestler. The idea that such a start for one’s career could steer clear of a ladder is hard to believe.
For Bishop, the ladder match is old hat… but we should emphasize the old!!! It’s been quite a while since Bishop has regularly competed in this type of match, the last being in 2008. How will the champ fair against Watts, who seems motivated for championship gold like never before?
