About 3 weeks ago, members of the VCW camera crew released the first 5 episodes of a small web series entitled “The Parkdale Blues”. Following the adventures of the hyena like Eugene Smith, episode 4 (shown here) features the epic Vegan Showdown between “Hipstar” Zakk Atticus and “Local Favorite” Jimmy Gaffe accompanied by the classic commentary of Hutch Henries and cohort “Infamous” Jay Moore. Mysterion, Buddy Boone and Rob Rage also make appearances. Episode 6 of the series was released yesterday, focusing on the friendship and subsequent falling out of Eugene and the Hipstar outside of VCW, after Eugene gets Zakk a job as a bouncer and things go awry. A majority of the series is shot in Toronto’s Parkdale neighborhood and Hutch Henries, who lives in the area, is rumored to be featured in an upcoming episode.
